Welcome to the first installment of our 14 Days of Valentine’s Day!
This series of engagement stories of past ProVolve Entertainment couples first debuted in 2012. We had such positive feedback that we decided to bring it back for 2015 with all new engagement stories!
Mickey and Dana’s wedding took place on July 12, 2014 at Moonstone Manor, Mount Joy, PA. Mike and Eric DJ’ed their wedding – here’s the recap of their wedding from last summer!
HOW DID MICKEY AND DANA BECOME ENGAGED?
Each year, Mickey and Dana celebrate their dating anniversary, June 21st, by re-creating their first date, dinner at their favorite restaurant, TJ Rockwell’s and a movie. This also includes Dana meeting Mickey at his house, even calling for directions on her way there (even though it’s been six years!)
Similar to their first date, Mickey was still getting ready, so Dana didn’t think anything of it when Mickey needed to head upstairs and get changed. Little did Dana know that Mickey was upstairs setting up the proposal, camcorder and all! After some time, Mickey called Dana upstairs where he was waiting with yellow roses – Dana’s favorite color.
He then proceeded to tell Dana that Bella, their 3-year old boxer, had something for her too, who was hiding in the closet. The closet door was opened and Bella rushed over to Dana wearing a pink t-shirt, designed by Mickey that read “Mommy will you marry my Daddy?” As soon as Dana read Bella’s shirt, the tears began to flow.
Mickey then got down on one knee, professing his love and asking Dana to marry him (luckily, Mickey was smart to catch the whole thing on camera since Dana was too emotional to hear what he said!).
The best part of the proposal… Mickey had Dana’s ring in the same box her Poppy used to propose to her Grandmom.
