Day 2 of 14 Days of Valentine’s Day

Day 2 of 14 Days of Valentine’s Day brings us Mr. and Mrs. Sasa’s engagement story!

Tug and Nicki Sasa got married on September 19th, 2014 at the Armstrong Valley Winery in Halifax, PA.

Here’s Nicki’s story of how she got engaged!

“It was a cool October night and Tug and I were getting ready to go to a Halloween party. I was in the process of transforming into a hillbilly beauty queen and Tug seemed to be dragging his feet. He told me he had to go run an errand, which I thought was strange because we were supposed to be getting ready.

He was gone for maybe a half hour.

When he got back, I was standing at the kitchen sink, in full blown hillbilly beauty queen glory with my back towards him and he says, “I have something for you.”

So I turn around, he chuckles at my gorgeous hair and makeup and he hands me a stuffed bear. I’m thinking…”ooookkkkk…thanks?” I take the bear and the following conversation happens.

Tug: “I have something else for you.” I can tell he’s nervous.

Tug: “Let me get down on my finger.”

Me: “Huh??”

Tug: “I mean knee!” He takes my hands as he kneels down.

Tug: “Nicki, I love you more than anything and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, will you marry me?”

Me: “YES!!!!!” Of course I’d marry the most loving, funniest, sweetest guy I’d ever met!

So there we stood laughing and hugging and we snapped this photo…

Tug got into his costume and we headed out to the party. This is how he ended up looking.

We did eventually get some “real” engagement photos taken. But I’ll always prefer the one with me in the blonde wig because that’s when it actually happened. It was truly an awesome moment!

I officiated the wedding of Nicki & Tug – I’ve known tug since high school, and it was an honor to do this for them.
They are truly one of the most wonderful couples I’ve ever been around. they express their love so freely and honestly, that you can feel it yourself when you’re with them.
My wish to them is an eternity of moments that they will never forget, even when they grow old and senile, and can’t remember to change their underwear.
I hope they are forever as in love as they were the day they got engaged!!

    Love you guys!!! <3
