It was a blast to celebrate with this fun couple and here’s a quick recap of their big day:
We were connected with Aaron & Kris by Melissa Martin, Wedding Planner and Owner of Stylish Occasions. She’s a great wedding planner and is always a blast to work with.
Since the Heasleys live in the Carolinas, we FaceTime’d our meeting before the wedding to iron out details. We hit it off right away when they were describing their wedding vibe and their music tastes. I know it would be a fun wedding.
The day of the wedding, we arrived at the Keystone Conference Center – a cozy venue on the side of a mountain. It’s like a fancy cabin with a huge banquet room. Very nice! The location was chosen as a middle ground between Aaron’s family (Western PA) and Kris’s family (New Jersey).
The cocktail hour included some timeless classics by Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, and other Rat Pack favorites. We then moved on to dinner which was a variety of new country music from the last few years.
We were treated to some amazing food catered by DuJour Catering out of New Holland, PA followed by the most amazing cake I’ve ever had – brownie cake!
This was followed by a very emotional family dance where Aaron and his sister danced together in tribute to their mother who had recently passed away – their brother also joined in. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Especially as there was a very moving slideshow featuring photos of their mom.
The other cool detail of the evening? The dollar dance! Before guests paid to dance with the couple, they had to take a shot of Jack Daniels! Haha very interesting twist on the dollar dance!
We enjoyed the wedding reception – the whole night was great. The food was catered DuJour Catering, the cake (an amazing brownie cake by Bella Manse), photography by A Reflection by Sherry, and of course the wedding coordination by Stylish Occasions!
