Kachel Wedding James A. Michener Museum

This past Saturday, Mike and I took a road trip in the rain to Doylestown, PA (Bucks County) for the wedding of Chad and Julie Kachel!

I was introduced to this couple by a friend of mine from college (Jenny Benedict, soon to be Mrs. Bailey in October – we’ll DJ that wedding, too!) last year and I hit it off with Chad and Julie immediately. We only ever met via FaceTime because of the distance between Chad and Julie and myself. Thank God for modern technology!

Through our two FaceTime meetings, and various emails, I realized that the Kachels would be a blast to work with – and their party was an awesome reflection of the wonderful couple they are.

As I mentioned, Saturday was rainy. Which is a bummer because the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour were scheduled to take place outside at the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown. But instead, the ceremony was held in a beautiful wing of the museum – in one of the neatest and most unique ceremony sites Mike or I have ever seen!

The cocktail hour was held in the lobby of the museum, which was also such a unique location!

But the main event, dinner and the party, were held inside as scheduled in a  pretty amazing room that had floor to ceiling windows on three sides of the room. The room was decorated wonderfully and our uplights topped off what was an already breathtaking reception site.

The whole affair was a spectacular event that Mike and I had a blast working and we’re so happy for the Kachels and we wish them well on their honeymoon in St. Lucia! We’re so jealous!

Plus we get to see them again in October for the Bailey wedding, so that’ll be fun!

Here’s the Kachel Dinner List – Chad and Julie specified a Classic Rock-themed dinner playlist!
