Morrison Wedding, Landis Valley Museum

I finished off the weekend with the Morrison wedding at the Yellow Barn at Landis Valley. Nate and Rachel Morrison and 160 guests arrived for cocktail hour at the Firehouse, across from the barn.

The cocktail hour included songs from:

– George Ezra
– Brown eyed girl / Van Morrison
– Stolen Dance
– She moves in her own way – the kooks
– La Mer / Chantal
– Fire and the Flood / Vance Joy (Anything by Vance Joy)
– Falling For you – Teenage Mutant
– The Twin Forks (Kiss me darling/ back to you)

After everyone transitioned over to the Yellow Barn, the parents, bridal party and the beautiful couple were introduced to the room with Jackie Wilson’s “Higher & Higher” playing.

Nate & Rachel had a beautiful choreographed dance to Coldplay’s “Magic” that ended with a dip. Maybe it wasn’t choreographed, they were just that good!

Dinner hour was filled with all the standard classics:

In the Mood / Glenn Miller
La Vie En Rose – Louis Armstrong
The Best is Yet to Come
Cheek to cheek
My Dearest Darling – Etta James
Louis Armstrong – Dream a Little Dream of Me
Frank Sinatra – Love & Marriage
Billie Holiday – All of Me

By the time we had the parent dances, and started with dance music, the floor was packed! God bless them, because it was a hot day and they were out there all night dancing their faces off!

At one point, rain started to come down and it didn’t seem to bother anyone, because they were enjoying the air, playing lawn games, and enjoying each other’s company.

After cutting the cake, our favorite, Lancaster Cupcake showed up in their food truck, and shared their delicious little treats with everyone.

Just before the night ended, the couple were whisked away in front of all their loving friends and family members waving their glitter wands. Can’t wait to see the pics and video.

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Morrison!

P.S. Thanks to David Snook from Mx2 Event Design for all his hard work and teaming up with me to keep the night flowing smoothly.

Also, Alejandro and Andy, Opus, were awesome to work with. Can’t wait to see the video they put together.
