Rhoads Recap

Greetings everyone!  May ended on a gorgeous day and the ProVolve Entertainment team had three big weddings.  Right now we hear from Andrew, who DJ’ed for the new Paul and Ashley Rhoads at the beautiful Farm at Eagles Ridge.

“This was my first trip to the Farm at Eagles Ridge, and I have to say it is an amazing venue, beautiful grounds with great areas for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.  If you’re looking for a historic/rustic style wedding with a modern flare, I definitely recommend checking them out.

The day began with a lovely ceremony by the pond under a giant sycamore tree.

One thing about outdoor weddings is that the bride is usually seen by the guests before she can make her grand entrance, it’s just a simple fact of having the ceremony in an open space.  Ashley was able to make a striking entrance as she had planned for a free standing double doorway at the back of the guests seating.

After the seating of the parents, a groomsman shut the doors and the guys walked around the outside of the guests to take their places, while people watched Paul and his guys enter, Ashley and her girls slipped down the hill and behind the closed door.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the yard in front of the barn and enjoyed lawn games, cocktails and the sounds of a string ensemble that had also played for the ceremony.

Once the guests made their way into the barn, the celebration got started as the wedding party entered to Chris Brown’s “Forever.”  About half-way through dinner the barn doors were opened and everyone was able to enjoy a perfect night and take advantage of the indoor/outdoor flow.

As the sun started to set over the Conestoga river, Paul and Ashley had their first dance on the patio to John Legend’s “All of Me,” and then the party really got started.

They had really given me free reign to play whatever I felt was appropriate for the night, keeping in mind the various age ranges that were present.  I started the night out with some classic party tunes and soon was taking requests for great music all night, both recent and classic.

The dance floor stayed pretty crowded all night until it was time to send the new couple off to their honeymoon in Punta Cana through a tunnel of sparkles out to their waiting limo.

It was a perfect day at a beautiful venue with a great couple.”
