Stoltzfus Wedding, Landis Valley Museum

Last Saturday, I (Declan) I DJ’ed my last wedding in 2015, with the Stoltzfus wedding at the Landis Valley Yellow Barn in Lancaster, PA. This particular venue and location brought back a lot of great memories from just about two years ago, when my wife and I were married. The great thing about the barn, is that it is well lit, warm, and full of history and charm. This was surprisingly, my first time DJing at Landis Valley, I hope to do many more.

I was looking forward to spinning tunes at Andrew and Samantha’s wedding because, well, they’re just the best. I had met with them awhile ago at the Bull Heads in Lititz for a pint. I really enjoyed their company, and got to know them a bit more, and learn about their hopes and dreams for their wedding day. I could tell early on, I was getting to know two pretty awesome people, and I couldn’t wait to join them on their big day.
Schedule

They were married just outside the Yellow Barn in the courtyard area. Sam walked out to “Love Someone,” by Jason Mraz. The ceremony itself was mayyyyyybeee 15 minutes, short and sweet!

We then jumped into cocktail hour where we listened to songs from Hozier, Jack Johnson, Mumford and Sons, Vance Joy and Death Cab for Cutie, just to mention a few.

Among the many little touches they put on their wedding day, they provided their bridal party with custom soccer scarfs to don throughout the day/night.

Not only did they look great, but they sure did come in handy for what became a tad chilly evening.

The dinner hour was filled with tunes from James Bay, Iron & Wine, Joshua Radin, American Authors, Plain White T’s and Ed Sheeran.

They had Sugar Whipped Bakery on site after dinner, providing delicious little treats to all their guests from their snazzy food truck! The double doors on the barn opened wide, right into the arms of cupcake heaven!

The night was filled with dancing, drinking, cupcakes, photos, laughs, and many memories to be cherished for a long time to come.

It was the perfect ending to an extremely busy 2015 for myself, and I couldn’t have ended it on a higher note. Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Stoltzfus, enjoy Asheville, NC.
