Mike and Eric DJ’ed the wedding of Jacob and Erin Branscome in Lancaster at the DoubleTree at Willow Valley on Saturday September 20, 2014.
Jacob and Erin were referred to us by one of our favorite photographers, Jeremy Bischoff (who photographed Eric’s wedding in 2011!).
It was a beautiful day, nice and sunny and the temperature was just perfect!
The DoubleTree at Willow Valley is one of ProVolve’s favorite locations for weddings in Central PA for various reasons:
– The cute Wedding Chapel
– The Courtyard
– The large spiraling staircase
– The service and coordination of dinner
– And of course, the huge dance floor!
The day started off with a beautiful wedding ceremony in the Wedding Chapel. Pre-Ceremony music included Vitamin String Quartet versions of current Top 40 songs. The Ceremony music kicked off once the groomsman lined up at the altar; we played Canon in D which is what the Bridesmaids walked into. The Bride walked also walked in during Canon in D at just the right time in the song, it was a beautiful moment. The service was wonderful and ended with the Pastor presenting the newlyweds. At that point, the Branscome’s walked out of the Chapel to Blake Shelton’s “Honey Bee.” It was awesome!
After the newlyweds and the bridal party had departed for photos, guests made their way over to the Courtyard where we ready with a classic cocktail hour playlist.
After toasts by the Best Man (Jacob’s Cousin) and Matron of Honor (Erin’s Sister), and a Blessing by Erin’s Father, Dinner started!
We stopped the dancing momentarily to do the Anniversary Dance. The winning couple has been married for 44 years! That’s awesome.
Then we moved into the Bouquet Toss, Garter Removal/Toss, and the Placing of the Garter on the Bouquet Catcher (turns out the guy who caught the garter is engaged to the girl who caught the bouquet!).
