Andrew is one of our new members in the ProVolve Entertainment family and it’s great to hear today’s story from his wife, Megan:
“After trying bad dates and various dating websites, I was exhausted with the quality of men I was meeting. A friend suggested MySpace, as it was, after all, free. I said, “Why not?” (I feel I should say that this was before MySpace became StalkerSpace.) That’s where I found Andrew.
He had brown eyes, dark hair, long sideburns, and tattoos – just my type. I saw that not only did he like many bands that I enjoy, but he also listened to a vast array of musical styles. Wanting to see if his personality was attractive as he was, I sent him a message asking if he actually liked every band known to man. He clearly looked at my profile before he sent his response: “At least they aren’t in alphabetical order.” …It was an instant attraction.
We emailed and instant chatted for a few weeks. Then we decided to meet a few weeks later at the Toy Soldier in Lititz. I picked that place because it was close to a friend’s house, just in case Andrew turned out to be a total creep.
But he wasn’t, and we fell in love quickly. Andrew proposed a year and two days later.
It was December 30, and we were hosting a holiday party in the evening. I started the dishes, and he went to the store for some last minute party supplies. He came back while I was still at the sink. He had a lavender rose in his hand, with my grandmother’s ring laid over the unopened bud. He pulled me away from the sink and sat me down. Then he proposed. I wish I could remember what he said, but I can’t. I just remember that we were both so nervous and that we both had tears in our eyes.
We got to tell everyone our news that evening, and I was able to show my ring off to all my friends just a few hours later. He had planned the day perfectly.
Every day I am thankful that he is my best friend and partner in life. I am so blessed to be his wife.”
