Today we hear the story of how Brett and Nicole began their journey to become Mr. and Mrs. Lepley!

Here’s Nicole’s Engagement Story!

In July of 2013 Brett and I had recently bought our first house together and adopted our precious puppy Toni. The day Brett proposed seemed like any other day.

He had mentioned having a date night and ordering in Chinese for dinner. I was excited for our date night but things kept coming up at work causing me to have to stay later than I had hoped. I later found out that this was all part of Brett’s plan to give himself more time.

When I got home, I opened the door and heard the song “A Thousand Years” playing. Brett and I had talked about how we wanted this to be our wedding song when that time should come, so I knew something was up and this wasn’t a normal date night.

I walked in and noticed a sign that read “check the dog’s collar”.

Toni came running around the corner to greet me and I noticed she had a pendant on her collar that read “Mommy will you marry Daddy?”

I turned the corner to find Brett down on his knee and he asked me to marry him.

Of course I said yes!

On top of the amazing proposal, Brett even went and picked up Chinese food. He had planned to make me dinner but he knew how excited I was for our date night.

It was a wonderful night and a perfect proposal!
