Three months ago this past Sunday, I (Andrew) was in a much different place then I was this past weekend. In July I had a pretty serious medical emergency that incapacitated me for about two months. This past weekend I celebrated three months post surgery and a real upswing in my health by celebrating two awesome life events with some pretty amazing people.
The first was the wedding of the new Mr. and Mrs. Bryan and Emily Gerofsky, where I got to work with a great couple, as well as some of our favorite fellow wedding professionals, at Riverdale Manor with Jeff Benzon Photography and a photo booth by PhotoOle.
Bryan and Emily had moved to California in 2014, so our planning was all via email and phone. Planning long distance can be a challenge sometimes, but it never seemed that way with Bryan and Emily, they were well prepared, and we got back to each other with answers to questions quickly, despite the time difference.
The day started with a beautiful ceremony in the pavilion at Riverdale.
After a gorgeous ceremony, the bride and groom walked out to “You’re My Best Friend” by Queen and the guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres on the slate patio, relaxing sitting areas down by the Little Conestoga, and some corn hole, on personalized boards for the special day of course.
After an entrance to Kesha’s “Your Love is My Drug” and a delicious dinner prepared by Riverdale, it was time for dancing. Emily and Bryan’s guests partied pretty hard to a variety of mostly 90s to current music with some 70s and 80s mixed in until it was time for the final song, “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars.
But that wasn’t the end of the night. A lot of couples don’t drive themselves to their weddings and get rides with friends or limos. Bryan and Emily got a Tesla to take them away to start their honeymoon in Cancun! It arrived about an hour before the end of the night so guests could check it out and get pictures. Then when it was time to send off the happy new couple, guests formed a line of sparklers for them to pass through.
Congratulations again Emily and Bryan and thanks for having ProVolve Entertainment at your awesome day and have a great time in Mexico!
